I was brought up eating meat at every meal and adding fat to my food for flavor. Biscuits & gravy were staples in our home. 

Once I was married, I carried on this same food culture and added a lot of processed foods for convenience. So, it wasn't surprising that I had high cholesterol and was very overweight.

I didn't feel deprived and to my surprise, the yo-yo dieting finally came to an end.
